TCC, ROBERTSON WALK, HIGHLANDER & CHINA ONE

Saturday was a pretty eventful day. Woke up early to fulfill my morning duty of going to Novena. I usually attend the 9.00am Novena. I woke at about 7.00am in a daze. The funny thing is that on Saturday I can get up late but I make a big sacrifice to get up early and attend the Novena. I think the sacrifice is worth it if not why am I making it right. Well, left the house around at around 7.45pm and waited for a friend at the Kembangnan MRT station at 8.00am.

Trip to the Novena church was surreal. We had our usual conversation about relationships and of somebody my friend is trying to help in terms of coping with a breakup. Actually, come to think of it ever since I got to know her, most of our conversation topics are on relationships. Maybe I should write a book on how to go about having a relationship with a love one. Then again, there are too many of these books around. I may just be a statistic.

Well, the Novena sermon was on acquiring peace and that we should look beyond our partners faults in order to have a rather smooth relationship with one another in life ( since when was there ever a perfect relationship ). More about that in another entry. Well, after the novena we went to velocity to have some bites and continued with our ever interesting talk about relationships. Later took the MRT back and departed from there.

I went home to rest because I had another outing in the evening. It was with some close buddies that I have. It seems that most of my close buddies are girls and I was thinking that if I ever had a girlfriend how am I going to tell her that I am going out with my buddies to drink as they are girls. Well, do not want to think much about it for now. Well, I will think of how to cross the bridge once it comes into view.

As evening approached, I woke up from my afternoon siesta, had a quick bath and rushed to meet my good buddies. Two girls to be exact. There are another two but one was too busy to meet us ( which she is most of the time ) and the other is in the Caribbean enjoying herself. Well, we headed down to TCC. TCC again!!! A friend of mind suggested that I should obtain a discount card from them since I am becoming their biggest fan.

I love the outlet at Circular Road because they have bean bags which you could seat in anyway you want to. It is so cool and comfortable. It makes you feel relax and is like being in your own home. I ordered my usual favourite : Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Hazelnut Frappe and Mushroom Soup. My other two friends ordered Salmon and Beef Morazetto. We joked about our definitions of private friends and public friends. Well actually I came up with the definitions. Private friends are people that are close to me and public friends are aquittances. As usual, I took some pictures which will be shown on the blog.

Next we adjourned to Robertson Walk. On the way there, we passed by some restaurants which were advertising delicious looking eating crabs. They looked good in the advertised poster but when it comes to you face to face and once it reaches your taste buds, you may have a total different opinion! In short, the crabs at Boat Quay are not up to my standard. I do not know about yours but I do have a rather high standard when it comes to food. I am a pretty fussy and picky person when it comes to food. I have eaten way better crabs at some neighborhood stalls, especially the one in Eunos and Ang Mo Kio. Talking about crabs, I have to organize a long awaited crab outing that some of my friends are wondering whether the outing would ever see the light of day.

So anyway, we went to Robertson Walk to chill out. The Erdinger beer there only cost me S$10.00. So far it is the cheapest. However, the beer strangely tastes better at Penny Black but it cost the most there, S$17.00 for a pint. A friend of mine from Germany just inform me that she bought four bottles of Erdinger beer for me in Germany. The Erdinger Beer in Germany is frightening cheap : S$2.00!! Drinking beer in Germany is cheaper than drinking coke. Unfortunately two of the bottles broke when she was on the way to Singapore. Well what to do that's life. Cannot always get whatever you want but two out four is not bad. Most likely will be meeting her this Saturday together with my best friend from Indonesia.

My middle name is " chilling" so I really felt at home at Robertson Walk, however, one of my friends had legs which could not keep still. I was very skeptic when she told me she could seat down, drink and have good conversation. How right I was!!!. Within a minute she was like prawns in hot water. She was checking out some cute European guys. Unfortunately she could not draw their attention towards her. She actually wanted to write a note to the guy she was admiring. She made us brainstorm what she should write in the note!!! The most frustrating thing is that she did not go through what she planed to do after all the brainstorming. I was fuming inside. Luckily the flames that were erupting in me was dosed off by my Erdinger beer.

Since she wanted to dance, we accommodated her by going to Highlander at Clark Quay. It is one of my favorite pubs. Well, I thought we would be happy at Highlander because they were playing really good music. Songs that you may not hear at other pubs. However, there was nobody on the dance floor. She tried to drag me to the dance floor but I did not want to advertise my dancing with her. There is a reason. Whenever I dance with her, she seems to be in her own world and therefore we cannot synchronize our dancing. Really hate that. My other friend, being the ever considerate person she is, decided to go to China One. I was reluctant but gave in.

China One was very crowded. I saw some people that I recognized in some photos that I have seen. They were actually my ex - Lecture's friends but I did not approach them because they did not know me. Well, as I mention, it was so crowded therefore I had no mood to dance. I went to the pool room and ordered a glass of Bourbon Coke and chilled out there. Only at around 4am, when the crowd was less, I decided to dance. One hour of dancing was pretty good.

Well after all the fun, we still had to go home. So till my next outing, take care and live a wonderful meaning full life!!! Size the day. Carpe Diem!!

I leave you with some pictures for your perusal.
